Was Jesus good?
Question: In Mark 10:18, when the man called Jesus "Good Teacher", why did Jesus answer "Why do you call Me good? No one is good except God alone"? Was Jesus admitting that He wasn't God?
Answer: Jesus didn't say, "I'm not God" but "No one is good except God alone." The man called him a good teacher and Jesus was trying to get him to realize He was God, not just a good teacher. Was Jesus good? Of course He was. Jesus said, "I am the good shepherd" (John 10:14). If He was good, then He was God.
