Fallen Angels

At some time before Adam and Eve were created, there was a war in heaven. An angel named Lucifer led one third of the angels in a rebellion against God, and tried to exalt his throne above God's throne(Isa. 14:12-15, Ezek. 28:12-17, Rev. 12:4, 7-9). They were kicked out of heaven and are now on earth, attempting to lead people away from Jesus Christ. Lucifer is now known as Satan, and the fallen angels are now called demons (Luke 10:17-20).

Demonic Activities

Listed below are some things demons are capable of doing. This doesn't mean that everything listed below is caused by a demon. F or example, most dumbness is caused through accidents and birth defects, but Mark 9:17, 25 says demons can also cause it.

Christians are more powerful than demons

The above list shows how powerful demons are, but the good news is the weakest Christian is more powerful than the strongest demon. "You are from God, little children, and have overcome them; because greater is He who is in you (Jesus) than he who is in the world (Satan) " (1 John 4:4). Jesus gave us authority over all the power of the enemy (Luke 10:19). "Submit therefore to God. Resist the devil and he will flee from you" (James 4:7). Notice, we are not to flee from him, he is to flee from us!
